Jovany Iglesias, M.Sc., P.E. - President/Principal
Jovany Iglesias serves not only as president, but also as principal engineer, designer, project manager, and head of departments at JMEP Engineering.
Mr. Iglesias brings more than 22 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Havana, Cuba (ISPJAE/CUJAE) since 2002. He later earned his master’s degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Florida International University in 2015. He also has a professional engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Florida since 2012.
Mr. Iglesias expertise arises from his vast experience in engineering and design covering the disciplines of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection. Additionally, his experience is not limited to design only, but also, he has a solid background in the mechanical contracting sector. Aside from consultation, Jovany brings with him the experience of hands-on background, which allowed him to have a deeper understanding of complex situations in the field. This gives Mr. Iglesias a great vision to include diverse skills in the field of MEP, making him a strong suit for the successful completion and management of diverse projects applications.
Ricardo M. Arnau, P.E. - Engineering Head Department
Mr. Arnau earned a bachelor’s degree in science in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Havana, Cuba since 2002. He is currently a professional engineer (PE) in the State of Florida and holds a commercial mechanical inspector license.
Ricardo brings engineering seniority with over 22 years of experience including systems engineering design, planning, and inspection for a variety of projects in different applications in the industry.
Ricardo's experience as a plan reviewer in City of Miami Beach Building Department and Chief of Mechanical Department in Coral Gables Building Department, as well as technical work enforcing compliance with applicable FEMA, and city ordinances and regulations provides him the abilities to be proficient in regulatory code requirements for any type of construction applications.
